The Cards of Blasphemy are 22 powerful artifacts in Lord of the Mysteries, created by Emperor Roselle Gustav. Each card corresponds to one of the 22 Pathways and contains a portion of a Sequence 0 (true god) authority.

The cards are named after the Major Arcana tarot cards: The Fool, The Magician, The High Priestess, etc. In the novel, possessing a Card of Blasphemy provides immense power and knowledge about that Pathway.

Lord of the Mysteries was written by Cuttlefish That Loves Diving (爱潜水的乌贼), a renowned Chinese web novel author. The novel was published on Qidian from April 2018 to May 2020. Cuttlefish has also written other popular novels including "Throne of Magical Arcana" and the sequel "Lord of the Mysteries 2: Circle of Inevitability".

The Tarot Club is a secret organization founded by the protagonist Klein Moretti (under the alias "The Fool"). It's a gathering of Beyonders from different pathways who meet in a mysterious space above the gray fog.

Members are given codenames based on tarot cards: The Fool (Klein), Justice (Audrey), The Hanged Man (Alger), The Sun (Derrick), The Magician (Fors), The World (also Klein), The Hermit (Cattleya), The Moon (Emlyn), The Star (Leonard), and Judgment (Xio).

Klein Moretti is the protagonist of Lord of the Mysteries. He is a transmigrator from Earth who wakes up in the body of a history student in the city of Tingen. After accidentally becoming a Beyonder of the Seer pathway, he discovers his connection to the mysterious "Fool" Pathway and eventually ascends to become The Lord of Mysteries. Klein is known for his intelligence, acting abilities, and his iconic catchphrase "Acting Method".

The Outer Deities are ancient, powerful entities in Lord of the Mysteries that exist outside the world. They include beings like the Eternal Darkness Giant, the Calamity of Destruction, and the Mother Goddess of Depravity. These entities are inspired by Lovecraftian cosmic horror and represent existential threats to the world. Many Pathways lead to becoming vessels for these Outer Deities at Sequence 0.
